Our May 2026 Member Meeting was such a fun day. We're sorry for those who missed the fun and good food.
It was Derby Day for the ladies of LCN. We were festive with our Derby hats and had prizes for the Most Glamourous, tie between Judy Johnson and Clarice Bowen, and Most Creative, Dawn Woods.
Our meal of Derby sliders, slaw, fresh vegetables and wonderful chocolate pecan pie and banana pudding was provided by Bluebonnet Bistro. The Mint Juleps (Hibiscus Mint Lemonade) and door prizes rounded out the fun and informative day.

2026 SCHOLARSHIPS
LCN President, Janice Rouse, and School Support Chairman, Karen Thurman, presented well deserved scholarships to Rains High School Seniors. Abygail Taylor, Caroline Piles, Kenzy Thompson, and Shaylee Stracener (not pictured).
Next week scholarships will be awarded to the other Alba-Golden and Yantis ISD recipients.
Total scholarships being awarded this year to all 3 school districts will be $28k.

Lake Country Neighbors presented winter coats and hoodies to Rains Intermediate School. Accepting the items from Committee Chair Karen Thurman is Susie Fernandez, campus secretary. Special thanks to LCN School Support Committee.
